How to Make Pecan Pie

Intro: Pecan pie is a tasty dessert which you don’t only have to enjoy on Thanksgiving. Follow these steps to make pecan pie year round.

 

Step 1: Gather the ingredients. You will need ½ cup of light brown sugar, ½ cup of sugar, ¼ cup of light corn syrup, 4 beaten eggs, 1 ¾ cups of pecan pieces, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and ½ stick of softened butter.

 

Step 2: Your oven should be preheated to 375 degree Fahrenheit.

 

Step 3: Add sugars, flour, butter, salt, vanilla, and the eggs to a bowl and whisk well.

 

Step 4: Pour this pie mixture into your pie crust and top with pecans.

 

Step 5: Bake for around 55 minutes at 375 degrees F.

 

Step 6: Once the filling sets, allow the pie to cool for about 10-15 minutes.

 

Step 7: Add some whipped cream, ice cream, and etc. to your pecan pie and enjoy!

 

Tips: The pecan pie will look runny when the baking time is over but don’t mistakenly think it is not done. If you continue to cook it, it will become rock hard.

 

Warning: Use oven mitts when removing your hot pecan pie from the oven.
