How to Make a Chocolate Pie

Intro: This chocolate cream pie is delicious and will make anyone who likes chocolate fall in love. Follow these steps to make this chocolate pie.

 

Step 1: Gather the ingredients. You will need ¾ tablespoon flour, 1/8 cup cornstarch, 2 ¼ cups of whole milk, 1/3 teaspoon salt, 1/5 ounces unsweetened chocolate, 1 1/8 cups sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and ¾ tablespoon butter.

 

Step 2: Add the salt, cornstarch, sugar, and flour to a medium saucepan and whisk together. Now, whisk in the milk and the cut up pieces of unsweetened chocolate. Cook this mixture over medium heat, constantly stirring, until it thickens and boils.

 

Step 3: Add half of this mixture to the beaten eggs yolks. Then add the beaten eggs yolks and chocolate pie mixture back to the pan.

 

Step 4: Bring these ingredients to a boil for 1 minute, on medium heat, while whisking constantly.

 

Step 5: After boiling for one minute, remove the pan from the burner. Add vanilla and butter to a baked pie shell and toss your chocolate pie in the fridge for a few hours.

 

Step 6: Once chilled, serve your chocolate pie with whipped cream, and enjoy!

 

Tips: Don’t use low-fat milk for this chocolate pie.

 

Make sure you chill your pie adequately before serving.
