How to Text

Intro: Just got your first phone which has the ability to send text messages? Well join the millions of people who text everyday by following these steps.

Step 1: You should find a menu option on your cell phone. Click on the button to take you to the menu.

Step 2: Once in the menu section, you should see “Messages.” Once you find messages, click on it.

Step 3: It should bring up another screen which will say “Text Messages,” which you should click on.

Step 4: Type in the cell phone number or look up the number in your phone book of the person you want to send a text message to. After you enter the number, you will have to click “OK.”

Step 5: Next, click on “Write Message” or “Compose Message” and type the message using the key pad.

Step 6: Once you are done typing your message, click “OK” or “Send.” Your text message should be sent. After sending a few messages, you will be a speed “texter” in no time.

Tips: Don’t worry about misspelling words. The recipient will know you are new to texting and should not pick on you.

Warnings: Be careful what you say in a text. It is hard to determine if you are being sarcastic, serious, or joking in a text.
