How to Put Tire Snow Chains on Your Automobile

Intro: Putting tire snow chains on your car or truck is an easy process. You will be able to get through the next snowfall with ease by following these steps.

Step 1: If you don’t already have tire snow chains, you should pick some up from your local hardware store. Before putting on the chains, make sure they are not tangled.

Step 2: Drape the chains over the top of the tire. The middle section of your snow chains should be at the middle-top of the tire.

Step 3: Now straighten up the chains. They should be evenly distributed over the tire. The chain hook should be on the backside. The loose end should be on the nearest end towards the rear of your car or truck.

Step 4: Hook the chain on the back and then on the front. Make sure the chain is evenly distributed.

Step 5: Make sure the chain tightener is fastened in a triangle pattern on the front of the tire. Drive slowly for a short distance to make sure the chains are fastened properly.

Tips: You can buy tire snow chains online for your specific automobile. If you order them, they will be shipped to your house and you don’t even have to drive through the snow to get them.

Have someone who has installed snow chains before help you.
