Intro: Becoming an Amazon associate is a great way to earn money by recommending a book or product you like to readers of your blog or website. If anyone buys the book from your recommendation, you will earn a commission. Follow these steps to sign up now.

Step 1: Go to Amazon.com.

Step 2: Click on “Associates Program” which is located on the left side of the home page.

Step 3: On the right side of this page, you should click “Join now for FREE!” You must first provide an email address and then you will have to give Amazon the link to your website or blog, a little information about your website, and your information.

Step 4: You are not automatically approved. You will have to wait around 24 hours to get an approval. As long as your website actually exists, you should be accepted into the associates program.

Step 5: Once signed up, you can pick the products you want to sell. You can choose to have links, banners, widgets, and even an online store embedded directly within your web page.

Step 6: Once you choose the product you want to promote, Amazon will give you some HTML code which you will have to add to your blog or website. Post the code in the location you want the banner or link to go.

Step 7: Start earning money! Check back to the Amazon associates page to see how much you are earning off of your referrals.
