How to Eat Healthy

Intro: Many people will try every new fad diet out there just trying to lose that extra baggage. Well instead of “dieting” why not just eat healthy. You will lose weight, have more energy, and look terrific. Just follow these steps to learn how to eat healthy.

Step 1: So what is included in a healthy diet anyway? Well a healthy diet is very complex. It usually consists of the right amounts of protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, fat, minerals, and water. Healthy daily diets usually consist of about 5-6 proportioned meals spaced out about 3 hours from each other.

Step 2: Are you sick of calculating how many calories versus fat versus protein you consume in a day? Well so am I and if you stick with certain guidelines when eating, you won’t have to count calories, carbs, or fat. Eating healthy has never been easier.

Step 3: To eat healthy you must avoid cooking with vegetable oil, grease, and butter. Since restaurants cook with these methods, you must avoid them at all costs too. You should try to eat more raw vegetables and fruits and more baked foods. Get skim milk instead of 2% or whole milk. Substitute your fruit loops for high fiber cereal. Skip out on coffee in the morning and drink hot tea. To eat healthy, avoid the muffins, donuts, and bagels in the morning.

Step 4: For breakfast, you should eat high fiber cereal with a cup of skim milk and a piece of fruit. If this isn’t enough food for you, you can add 2-3 egg whites. Remember, this healthy breakfast should only hold you over for 2-3 hours and not all the way to lunch.

Step 5: Your next meal should be small. It should contain 1 ounce of almonds (healthy fat and protein) and 12-16 ounces of water. Also, add some broccoli or carrots to this meal. To eat healthy, you must avoid vending machine snacks at work.

Step 6: For lunch, you should eat a slightly bigger meal than the one before. It should include a lean meat, such as chicken, turkey, seafood, or lean beef. Instead of going out to lunch, start packing. There are no healthy alternatives at any restaurant, no matter what the menu claims or what you think, this is true. Aside from your lean meat, you should eat a cup of spinach (fat burner and protein source) with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil (healthy fat). You should also have some fruit with this meal.

Step 7: Your next meal should be a protein shake. I strongly recommend you pick up some 100 percent whey protein powder, and have a half scoop of powder mixed in with 4 ounces of milk between lunch and dinner.

Step 8: For dinner, you should have a meal similar as in step 6 which consists of a lean meat, veggies, and fruit. This may seem like a lot of protein but since the proportions are so small, it is a perfect amount.

Step 9: Remember that all of these meals are going to be small portioned since you get to eat many times a day. To eat healthy, you should never feel stuffed or like you ate too much.

Tips: To eat healthy, you should eat slow and stop when your stomach first starts to feel full.

Avoid junk foods and snacks. Stop buying junk from the grocery store and you won’t be tempted when at home.

To eat healthy, you should eat plain meats with no breading and bake them in the oven to cook them.

Warnings: Consult with your doctor before starting any new weight loss diet.
