How to Make a Low-Fat Spinach-Artichoke Dip

Intro: This same dip at a restaurant could give you 15 grams of fat per serving while this low fat version is dramatically healthier for you. Follow these steps to make a low fat spinach artichoke dip.

Step 1: Gather the ingredients. You will need ¼ cup of fat-free sour cream, mayo, parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons minced onion, ¼ teaspoon salt, 2 garlic cloves, 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 4 ounces drained chestnuts, 8 ounces fat-free cream cheese, 10 ounces drained artichoke hearts, and 6 ounces chopped spinach.

Step 2: Heat your oven to 350 degree F.

Step 3: Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, 3 tablespoons of parmesan, salt, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.

Step 4: Fry the onions and minced garlic on medium heat for a few minutes.

Step 5: Add the garlic and onions to the spinach, water chestnuts, and artichoke hearts to a bowl and mix well.

Step 6: Mix all the ingredient together and then put them into a casserole dish. Top the dish with parmesan cheese and bake it for 30 minutes. Serve your low fat spinach artichoke dip with chips or bread and enjoy!

Tips: Add a dash of hot sauce to spice up your dip.

Warnings: The dip will be hot when taking it out of the oven. Let it cool before eating.
