How to Stop Poison Ivy from Itching

Intro: Over the counter itch relief medicines are costly and never work very well to begin with. Try this home remedy to stop poison ivy from itching.


Step 1: Create an anti-itch relief formula. You will need baking soda and vinegar.


Step 2: Mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of vinegar in a bowl until it forms a thick paste.


Step 3: Apply the mixture to your poison ivy.


Step 4: The itch and rash should start to disappear. Many people prefer this home remedy which can work faster than store bought medicine. If you can’t stop poison ivy from itching then you should see a doctor.


Tip: If you come in contact with poison ivy, you should wash your body immediately.


To stop poison ivy from itching, don’t scratch it. This can spread the infection and cause more itching.

Rubbing alcohol, vinegar and even bleach will cut away the ivy residue.
