How to Make Natural Lip Balm

Intro: Lip balms can be very pricey from retail stores which makes making your own more appealing. Lips can become cracked and dry, especially during the winter. Follow these steps to make natural lip balm.

Step 1: Gather the ingredients to make your lip balm. You will need ½ tablespoon grated beeswax, 1 tablespoon honey, ½ ounce calendula or safflower oil, and 5 drops of vanilla essential oil.

Step 2: Add the beeswax and calendula or safflower oil to a container and set it in a pan of simmering water. Heat these ingredients until they melt. You will need to stir them often.

Step 3: Once melted, remove it from heat and add the vanilla oil and honey.

Step 4: Stir the mixture, put it into a container, and then put it in the refrigerator. Once the mixture hardens, you can use it as a natural lip balm.

Tips: When making natural lip balm, the mixture will get very hot. Be careful not to get any on you.

Let the mixture sit in the fridge overnight, if possible.
