How to Make a Tequila Sunrise

Intro: A tequila sunrise is a very popular drink originally served at the Arizona Biltmore and is named after the way it looks in a glass. Follow these steps to make a tequila sunrise.

Step 1: Gather your ingredients. You will need 2 ounces (2 shots) of tequila, 4 ounces orange juice, ½ ounce of grenadine, and an orange slice or maraschino cherry for garnish.

Step 2: Fill a highball glass with ice.

Step 3: Pour the 2 shots of tequila and the 4 shots of orange juice into a highball glass and sir.

Step 4: Slowly pour the grenadine around the inside edge of the highball glass.

Step 5: Garnish your tequila sunrise with an orange slice or cherry (or both) and enjoy!

Tips: Do not stir the grenadine. Let it naturally start to mix in with the other ingredients.

Warnings: Don’t drink and drive.

Tequila sunrises can be strong, consume them in moderation.
