How to Make Sangria

Intro: Sangria is a wine punch from Spain and Portugal and has become increasing popular in the United States. Sangria is the beverage of choice for wine-loves on a hot summer day. Follow these steps to make great tasting Sangria.

Step 1: Gather your ingredients. You will need 1 bottle of red wine, ¼ cup Brandy, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 cups of club soda, 4 oranges, 2 lemons, ice, and 1 lime. These ingredients will serve about 8 people. For larger parties you can double or triple the ingredients.

Step 2: Take 2 oranges and juice them using a juicer. Pour your orange juice into a pitcher.

Step 3: Cut up the 2 other oranges, lemons, and lime into slices.

Step 4: Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and ¼ cup of Brandy to the juice in your pitcher. Stir your mixture until all of the sugar dissolves.

Step 5: Throw in the slices of orange, lemon, and lime and pour the bottle of wine into the pitcher.

Step 6: Add your club soda, stir your Sangria, and refrigerate it.

Step 7: Add ice when you are ready to drink the Sangria and enjoy!

Tips: Enjoy Sangria in moderation.

Warnings: Be careful when eating any of the fruit in your Sangria mixture. The fruit will start to absorb the alcohol.

Sangria has red wine which can stain your carpet and furniture badly if spilt.
