How to Make Jello Shots |

Intro: Making Jello shots is like making regular Jello but with the addition of alcohol instead of just cold water. Jello shots are becoming a more popular party treat. Follow these steps to make your very own Jello shots.
Step 1: Gather your ingredients. You will need 2 cups of boiling water, a 6 ounce package of Jello, ¾ cup of cold water, and 1 ¼ cup of chilled liquor (not from the freezer). You can use different kinds of liquors depending on the flavor of Jello.
Step 2: Determine which flavor to use. Lime Jello could go well with tequila and triple sec or just simply coconut rum. Cherry and orange Jello go well with Brandy. Strawberry Jello could be mixed with champagne. If you are ever unsure with what flavor liquor to go with, just stick with vodka.
Step 3: Bring your water to a boil and then remove from heat. Stir together the powdered gelatin and boiling water into a bowl. Keep stirring until the gelatin is dissolved. Once dissolved, stir in your cold water and alcohol.
Step 4: Pour your mixture into 1-2 ounce plastic shot glasses. The soft plastic shot glasses are the preferred choice since the hard plastic shot glasses make it difficult to get all of the Jello out when eating.
Step 5: Place your Jello shots on a tray and put them into the refrigerator. You should chill your Jello shots at least 2-4 hours before serving them. Once they are firm, enjoy!
Tips: Use unflavored gelatin with rum and coke to make rum and coke Jello shots.
The stronger the proof of the alcohol, the less you should use. Also, add more water if you increase the proof of the liquor.

Warnings: Do not put boiling water in the plastic shot glasses. This may melt them.
Jello shots contain a lot of alcohol which is sometimes more difficult to taste. Always consume them in moderation.
Warn your friends and party goers that the Jello shots are strong stuff.
