Step 1: Drink some chamomile tea at night. This tea is known to help relax people and calm them down. Chamomile has numerous health benefits aside from its ability to help reduce stress and anxiety.

 

Step 2: Start an exercise routine. Do not exercise at night but in the morning or early afternoon. Exercising can help wear you out and make you more tired at night. Exercising also has numerous other benefits which should help reduce stress.

 

Step 3: Eat healthy. Try eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. Eat a little snack before bed to help stop any hunger cravings and help you sleep better. Your diet can have a huge impact on your life.

 

Step 4: Shower at night. Showers can be very relaxing. This relaxation will help you fall asleep quickly.

 

Step 5: Make a list of everything you have to do tomorrow, throughout the week, and month. Having a check off list of everything you need to do will help you stop worrying about it at night. Knowing that you have everything written down will help calm and relax you.

 

Step 6: When lying in bed, try to think of a white screen. Sit there and focus on doing nothing but staring at a white screen in your thoughts. This can help prevent you from having your mind wander about all the worries and stress in your life. This is easier said than done.

 

Step 7: Get up early. Set your alarm early and force yourself to get up. Waking up early will make your body extra tired by the time bedtime rolls around. Get on an early morning, early bedtime routine.
