How to Make Bath Salts

Intro: Bath salts can make your bath more relaxing and soothing not to mention give you soft skin. Many bath salts are expensive and run out quickly. To save some money, follow these steps to make bath salts at home.

Step 1: Gather the ingredients. You will need 3 tablespoons of sea salt, 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt, 1 tablespoon baking soda, and 5-10 drops of essential oil for scent (Lavender, clary sage, mandarin, and etc.)

Step 2: Mix the ingredients into a bowl without using your hands.

Step 3: Add the essential oils of your choice. You can use only one essential oil or you can mix and match to find a scent that you enjoy most. There are many essential oils to choose from which are usually made for lotions.

Step 4: Now that your bath salt is mixed up and ready to go, add some of the salt to your running bath water and as the salt dissolves you will start to feel the soothing sensation of the salts.

Tips: Add a drop or two of food coloring to your bath salt for fun.

Make bath salts, package it up, and give it as a gift.

You don’t need a lot of salt per bath.

You can make larger batches by double or tripling the ingredients.
