How to Avoid the Common Cold |

Intro: It seems like every winter I get the common cold no matter what I do. After being tired of getting sick every year, I decided to take action. Follow these steps to do what I did and avoid the common cold.  Step 1: Wash your hands. The most common form of bacteria and germ transfer is through the hands. Using hand sanitizer or simply washing your hands often is the best way to prevent getting sick all together.  Step 2: Take vitamin C pills and eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Vitamins can help strengthen your immune system and prevent you from getting sick. Drinking green tea is another way to boost your immune system. The stronger your immune system, the less you will get sick.  Step 3: Avoid people who are sick. Don’t shake their hands or share anything with them. Getting your distance from sick people is a great way to avoid the common cold.  Step 4: Dress warm when going outside in the cold. The cold weather is a major contributor to getting sick. If you are outside a few minutes to long without enough winter clothes on you can easily get sick. Bundle up and try to not stand outside for long periods of time.  Tips: Eat healthy foods.  Carry a mini bottle of hand sanitizer with you.  Don’t touch your face. Your hands can be full of bacteria and germs so not touching your face will help prevent transfer of those germs into your system.
