How to Come Up With Ideas for FireHow Articles

Intro: Want to write a FireHow article but have no idea what to write about? There are a few things I do when I have writer’s block or have run out of useful information to share. Follow these steps to come up with new ideas for FireHow articles.

Step 1: Watch the news. The news will discuss current stories and topics which are important in the world today. Writing about a popular topic is a good way to get a lot of visitors to your article quickly.

Step 2: Look through past articles and try to brainstorm new ideas. If you wrote an article about losing weight a few months ago, maybe you could write a more updated one containing any new information you have learned recently.

Step 3: I always check out the calendar to see if there are any holiday’s coming up. Visit http://www.infoplease.com/year/calendar-2009.html for a detailed calendar which lays out all of the holidays. Not only should you write about holidays but write about popular unofficial days. For example, if black Friday is coming up soon, you could write an article about getting a great deal on black Friday. Writing about official and unofficial holidays is a great way to land your article on the front page of FireHow.

Step 4: Learn something new and then share it with the rest of us. Learn how to bake a cake, make cookies, or drive a stick shift and share it will the FireHow community.

Step 5: Visit http://www.google.com/trends. Google will give you a top 200 list of the most popular searched for terms and phrases everyday. Use Google Trends to find out what everybody is talking about and then try to write an article about it.

Step 6: Skim through other articles on FireHow. If you stumble across an article on a topic you are knowledgeable about, try to write an even better article than theirs!

Tips: Not only watch the news but read newspapers and online news articles.

Learn new things and then write about it. You can learn anything on the web.

Ask your friends and families for ideas.
