Intro: If you want to dramatically reduce stress and get things done then you need to start getting organized. Follow these steps to get organized.  Step 1: Get rid of all the clutter. Remove extra junk from your office, closets, basements, or anywhere you want to get organized. Have a garage sale or throw a lot of stuff in the trash. Give extra clothes to charity and try to recycle anything you can. It is time to stop saving everything and start getting rid of useless old stuff.  Step 2: Now that you have sold off, gave away, or thrown out all of your old junk you will need to set up a system to stay organized. Buy some containers, file sorters, a calendar, and other organizing materials from a store. Start filling in all the important dates on your calendar so you will be aware of any upcoming events or birthdays. Use your organizing equipment to file receipts, mail, bills, and etc. Make a system that works for you and stick to it.  Step 3: Have a list of things you have to do or wish to accomplish. Keeping a list is a great way to not forget anything. Just use a pad of paper as your list. Every time you remember something you have to do, write it down. Try keeping a planner on you at all times so you can jot down reminders while out and about.  Step 4: Get a palm pilot or palm PDA cell phone. These devices can help keep track of anything you want. They help keep you organized.  Step 5: Try using tax software to help you manage your household taxes. Additionally, you should start using online banking and with a few clicks you can view your account statements anytime you’d like.  Start 6: Once you become organized, you should try your best to stay organized. Once a month, you should have a reorganizing day where you clean out any junk which was collected over the past month and you go through to make sure you have everything filed in your filing system.  Tips: Have your spouse or a friend help you clean out your junk and have a garage sale. Get organized by having a once a month cleaning day.  Warnings: Getting organized will take some time. Be patient.
