How to Add Highlights to Your Hair Naturally

Intro: If you don’t want to pay for chemical based highlights, follow these steps to add highlights to your hair naturally.

Step 1: Create your own highlighting shampoo. You will need to add 6 tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 cup of your shampoo. Store this mixture in the fridge so it will last long. If you don’t refrigerate it, it will be good for around 2-3 days.

Step 2: Add highlights to your hair naturally with olive oil. Put olive oil in your hair and spend some time out in the sun. Add some lemon juice to the olive oil for a stronger effect. Spend at least a half hour out in the sun to gain some natural highlights.

Step 3: Massage a little honey into your hair. Cover with a plastic bag for 20 minutes. Wash it out when 20 minutes is up. Then shampoo and condition your hair as you normally would. Then rinse your hair with chamomile in the shower.

Make chamomile tea and then use that to rinse your hair. This is the last thing you should do to your hair in the shower. Your hair will look and feel great after this treatment.

Tips: The longer you stay in the sun, the more of an effect the oil and juice will have on your hair.
