How to Find a How To Article to Write About Which is in High Demand |

Intro: If you are having trouble thinking of new topics to write about, just follow these steps to find a popular topic which hasn’t been written much about. Using Google’s AdWord’s Keyword Tool, you can find out what topics people are searching for in the search engines.
Step 1: Visit the website: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.
Step 2: Enter one keyword or phrase and click “get keyword ideas.” Try searching for the phrase “How to.” You can also be more specific and search for phrases such as “How to make” or “How to build.” If you are good are making things then this would be a good phrase to search.
Step 3: Google’s Keyword Tool will generate a list of phrases. For each phrase, Google will tell you how much advertiser competition there is, how much search volume there was for the past month, and how much average search volume that phrase has.
Step 4: Find a phrase that is normally searched very often but has little advertiser competition. This means that there is more room for your own article to compete and rank well in search engines.
Step 5: Write an article based on what you find. For example, I searched “How to” and found the phrase “How to make buttermilk.” This phrase is searched on average 8,100 times a month and has absolutely zero advertising competition. If you don’t know how to make buttermilk then I would suggest you do some research and learn.
Tips: Optimize your articles using the exact keywords that you found. If there is little advertising competition then this leaves the door open for your article to rank really well in the search engines.
Warnings: Don’t focus all of your attention on this keyword tool. Just because some topics and phrases have a ton of competition, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t write about it. You still can earn money writing articles which have a lot of competition.

... I guess I have been lucky, as I do not use the keyword tool. I like to think that my articles appeal to the masses and are evergreen. I am willing to change and since it is the New Year I will follow your advice and check out the keyword tool. Thanks for sharing this useful information. |
