How to Get Visitors to Return to Your Website

Intro: You had a lot of visitors today but will they come back tomorrow? Ever? There are so many websites out there nowadays that the internet audience has become fickle. Follow these steps to build some loyalty among your visitors and keep them coming back.

Step 1: Gather email addresses! Have a newsletter that people can sign up for. Write a short e-book and email it to people for free when they sign up for it. Gathering emails is a great way to keep in touch with readers/customers and let them know of updates which will hopefully draw them back to your website.

Step 2: Email old customers or visitors with discounts on products you are selling. Getting these customers to make that second purchase with you is very important. The more they buy from you the more they get comfortable and will continue coming back.

Step 3: Try to advertise on popular forums which are related to your website. If you are ranked number 10 in Google’s search engine for selling phone accessories then find the number one most popular phone accessory forum and start building rapport with the people using the forums. You may find a person who has been to your site before and get them to comeback or get some constructive feedback from them.

Step 4: Post quality content. Publishing a boring blog post which your heart wasn’t into will make your website lose credibility with readers. If you don’t have anything interesting to say then it is better to say nothing at all.

Step 5: Make sure your website loads fast and doesn’t contain a bunch of flash. Websites which are simple and easy to navigate will have the most return visitors.

Tips: Try giving some things away for free. You gain an email address and a happy visitor.

Warnings: Don’t spam your visitors with a ton of emails. They will most likely get angry and unsubscribe from your newsletter or website updates.
