Intro: New Year’s Ever is typically known as a great party night for most adults. Staying up until the ball drops and celebrating after midnight can be a blast but it can take a toll on your body. Follow these steps and suggestions to help you recover from New Year’s Eve on New Year’s Day.
Step 1: Have an activity for your children to do or a place for them to go so you can have some piece and quiet. Children have such high energy levels it will be tough to relax with them around.
Step 2: Stock up on some healthy foods a few days before New Year’s Eve so you can have some healthy meals when recovering on New Year’s Day. Spend your New Year’s Day replenishing your body with nutrients and vitamins by eating lots of fruits and vegetables.
Step 4: Stay hydrated. Alcohol dehydrates your body so you should drink plenty of water on New Year’s Day. Try to hydrate yourself before you go out for a long night of partying. It will help make you feel better the next day.
Step 5: If you are up for it, try exercising. Exercising can help make you feel better as long as your exercise is light and easy.
Step 6: If you have a TiVo or DVR, stock up on some of your favorite shows so you can have a marathon of your favorite shows on New Year’s Day.
Tips: Chicken noodle soup is always a preferred choice when not feeling well. The broth helps hydrate you and the chicken is full of healthy protein.
Warnings: Don’t just kick your kids out. Find something fun for them to do because it’s their holiday to enjoy to.
