Intro: Learn how to make a quick and easy buttermilk substitute. Use this substitute and you won’t need to buy buttermilk anymore. Using milk and vinegar you can great an easy and inexpensive substitute.

 

Step 1: Gather your ingredients. You will need one cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice.

 

Step 2: Place the tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a measuring cup.

 

Step 3: Fill up the measuring cup with enough milk to bring it to the one cup line.

 

Step 4: Let your mixture stand for five minutes and then it is ready for use.

 

Tips: Make as much as your recipe calls for.
